Microsoft Leap - Software Engineer Apprenticeship 

Something that we dont talk about enough when it comes to finding avenues to break into tech outside of bootcamps and certification are initiatives. 

These initiatives put together programs that target specific needs of a company and can be a unconventional and yet great way to enter into a good position at top companies

The Microsoft Leap Apprenticeship Program was created to build upon the companies diversity of not only race and culture but personal background as well, from single mothers who had to stop working and
want to get back into the career field they loved to that person who got a computer science degree but got side track with life. The Leap program targets people like this and gives them a path to returning or starting a career in technology. The program offers an immersive 16-week apprenticeship for those who have a base foundation of technical training. This apprenticeship program combines in-classroom learning with hands-on engineering projects, working on real teams and real products within the organization such as Azure, Xbox, Bing, and Office365.

• Data Analyst

• Software Engineer

• Software Support Engineer

• Technical Program Manager

• User Experience Designer
